Kingsley Amis...
...wrote a James Bond novel. That and more on the literary roots of the next Bond, apparently called Quantum of Solace. (James Wolcott)
He wrote a good book of criticism on James Bond, which I haven't read, but have had the opportunity to page through. I believe it was called The James Bond Dossier and is out of print, but if you are lucky, you might be able to find it in a public or university library.
