Dept. of WTF?

With no actual evidence, ESPN's Pat Forde just accused 41-year old Olympic swimmer Dara Torres of using steroids on tonight's Sportscenter (and in this column). Forde's theory appears to be based on the facts that other athletes, including Roger Clemens, have used steroids and lied about it in the past and that people who lost to Torres at last week's Olympic trials aren't happy about it. The column details how Torres volunteered for an Anti-Doping Agency program which tests here more rigorously than her competitors, and of course she has never tested positive. UPDATE - If you're a Facebooker and interested in this stuff, I have formed a group called "Dear ESPN, please fire Pat Forde." I have emailed the ESPN ombudsman and will report.
